Shameer The Great!!!!
This is my nephew Shameer. He's visiting Kyoto for the next few weeks. This is his first time outside of the United States. I am going to re-edit this post and continue to update it with new pics as I take them over the next few weeks. So check back:)

Monk Moments
I have always been fascinated with monks. I grabbed these pics at temples and flea markets around Kyoto over the course of a week. Enjoy:)

People, Shadows and Other Things
With the exception of the final picture with the man reading the book, all of these pictures were taken on the same day-June 11, 2010. I put away my Ricoh GR III and used my 5D Mark II for most of the shoot. It was hot and humid, but a lot of fun. With the sun hovering I concentrated my efforts on capturing shadows. There is also the copperish water reflection piece that I created by playing with the ISO and shutter speed. I had fun with that and hope to do more when I find some more water. Most of these shots were taken in and around the Gion area in downtown Kyoto between 2pm and 6pm. Anyway enough with me, enjoy:)
